Vision
We see the Arrow Lakes region as a place where creativity brings people together. Our vision is a community where arts and culture are at the heart of everyday life—welcoming everyone, celebrating diversity, and supporting artists of all kinds. By encouraging learning and cultural exchange between local and visiting artisans, we hope to create opportunities that strengthen connections and make Nakusp and the Arrow Lakes region a vibrant, inspiring home for all.
Join us for a variety of performances at the Bonnington Performing Arts Center, 619 4th Street NW, Nakusp.
Mandate
We’re here to make arts and culture a part of everyday life in the Arrow Lakes region! Our mandate is simple: support artists—whether they’re just starting out or already established—by offering funding, promotion, and encouragement. We host events and team up with local groups to bring creativity and connection to our community.
Core Values
Inclusivity – We welcome all artists and community members, ensuring everyone has a place in the arts.
Creativity – We foster imagination and innovation in all forms of artistic expression.
Collaboration – We build partnerships that strengthen the cultural fabric of our region.
Accessibility – We make arts and culture opportunities available to all, regardless of background or ability.
Community – We connect people through shared experiences that inspire and unite.
